Before creating MedC.Partners in France, Marie José Plique accumulated 20 years of experience in the Medical Device industry, with a combination of scientific, operational and business management expertise.
Most recently, Marie José was Business Unit Director of GYNECARE, a Johnson & Johnson Company, specialized in women healthcare in the gynaecological and urological fields. She was in charge of business management, strategic planning, sales and marketing activities.
Prior to this, Marie José served as Marketing Director for Ethicon products Division France and also managed European Marketing activities for synthetic absorbable sutures and implants. She was in charge of strategic and operational marketing, and of maintaining strong relationships with National Health Authorities and key opinion leaders.
During the last 10 years, Marie José held several positions within National and European trade associations being Vice-president of SNITEM from 2001 to 2004 and a member of EUCOMED's Board of Directors. She was registered as a QA expert by GMed for the Voluntary Certification Committee.
Since 1995, Marie José was Board Member then General Manager of ETHICON SAS and was involved in various executives' strategic programs in the USA. She also participated to Johnson & Johnson companies' assessment programs including strategic, marketing, human resources, operational and financial aspects and was elected to team leader position.
Prior to this period, Marie José held several operational and management positions related to Regulatory Affairs and Quality Assurance for different Johnson & Johnson Divisions (Ethicon, Ethicon Endosurgery, Mitek and Johnson & Johnson Interventional Products). She managed up to 50 persons, designed Quality Assurance Systems (ISO 9001 and 46001), CE mark and reimbursement files, operations validations including sterilization and ultimately product release. She was also responsible for building relationships with European Authorities and Notified Bodies.
Marie José as alumnus of the INSEAD Executive program (1999) has a Master (DESS) of the European Institute of Industrial Pharmaceutical Sciences of Montpellier and obtained her PharmD diploma from Montpellier University in 1982.
